Section A

Air Conditioning

We install air conditioning for homes, businesses and multi-unit buildings. The system is sized to the space and installed by our own technicians.

  • Residential
Single rooms, open-plan living areas and full houses.
  • Commercial
Offices, shops, restaurants, warehouses and institutions.
  • Multi-unit
Multiple units across one site or building. We've installed 34 units on a single Durban project.

Choosing the right system

Air conditioning is sized in BTU. Too small and the unit runs constantly without reaching temperature. Too large and it cools unevenly and cycles on and off. The right figure depends on floor area, ceiling height, window area, insulation, sun exposure and how many people use the room.

Wall-mounted split units suit single rooms and are the most common choice. Ducted systems suit larger spaces and multiple rooms where you'd rather not see indoor units.

The best starting point is a site assessment. That's also what we base the quotation on.

Common questions

How do I know what size air conditioner I need?
It comes down to BTU, and BTU depends on the room. Floor area, ceiling height, window size and orientation, insulation and occupancy all affect it. Send us the room details and we'll work it out with you.
What does BTU mean?
BTU stands for British Thermal Unit. It measures how much heat an air conditioner can remove. Higher BTU means more cooling capacity. On the Durban project, each unit was 36,000 BTU.
Do you need to visit the site before quoting?
For most installations, yes. A site assessment lets us confirm the room, the mounting points, the power supply and the route for pipework. It means the quotation reflects the actual work.
Wall-mounted or ducted?
Wall-mounted splits are simpler to install and suit single rooms. Ducted systems distribute air through ceilings or bulkheads and suit multiple rooms or larger open areas. Ducted work usually needs to happen during a build or renovation.
What do you need from me for a quotation?
The property type, roughly how many rooms or units, whether this is a new installation or a replacement, the town or area, and when you'd like the work done. Photos of the space help — you can send those on WhatsApp.

Section B

Commercial Refrigeration

We install cold rooms for food businesses, storage facilities and industrial sites. Cold room installation is our confirmed commercial refrigeration service.

Need something else in commercial refrigeration? Enquire about your requirement and we'll confirm whether we can help.

Information we need for a cold room quote

  • Product type
What will be stored — fresh produce, meat and dairy, frozen goods or something else.
  • Size
The approximate floor area and height you need, or the volume you're working with.
  • Temperature range
Chilled or frozen. The target range drives the equipment specification.
  • Location
The town or area, and whether the site is remote or rural.
  • Power availability
Whether three-phase power is available at the site.

Common questions

Do you install cold rooms?
Yes. Cold room installation is a confirmed service. We install for food businesses, storage and industrial sites across KwaZulu-Natal.
What's the difference between chilled and frozen?
Chilled storage holds produce, meat and dairy above freezing, typically just above 0°C. Frozen storage runs well below freezing. The two need different equipment and different insulation, so it matters for the quotation.
Do I need three-phase power?
It depends on the size of the cold room and the equipment. Larger installations often need three-phase. If you're not sure what's available on site, tell us and we'll check during the site assessment.
Do you need to see the site?
Yes, for a cold room we do. The available space, the access route, the power supply and the building structure all affect the installation.
Can you work on a remote site?
We cover KwaZulu-Natal including remote areas. Site visits and availability are confirmed per project based on the location and scope.
